Matt Ritchey was first introduced to Shakespeare in Junior High School where he was offered the lead role in the Scottish Play (MACBETH….the theme to which he whistles when entering a theatre, proving just how superstitious he is).Since, he has performed work from numerous plays at New York University; devised and directed a high school production, “Two Dollar Bill,” in Morgantown, WV; Assistant Directed and taught at St. Paul School’s Advanced Studies Program in Concord, NH;performed in Los Angeles with the Kings & Clowns troupe and the Classical Theatre Lab; studied and received his Shakespeare certificate from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London; and is currently co-moderator of the Shakespeare workshop at Theatre West in Los Angeles.He is the author of the stage play ROMEO AND JULIET IN HELL, which had it’s debut reading in London.

this interests me, im studying english lit at the moment and shakesspeare has become a real favourite. my house was built the year he was born! which i quite like.
